For those who applied for the Egyptian National ID (Rakam Kawmy) at Burbank in southern California on Jan 25,26,27, 2009, Please send to the consulate the original receipt (coupon) of the application form and a prepaid self address returned envelope which we recommend to be express mail. The consulate mailing address is: 276 Mallorca Way, San Francisco, CA 94123.
If you have already sent the receipt and the returned envelope to the consulate, the ID is already mailed out to you on April 3, 2009.
The consulate has received most of the IDs but not all of the them. The remaining IDs are still under production in Cairo and will be sent to the consulate once they are ready.
For those who missed the opportunity to apply for the ID in Burbank last January, they can apply for it at their first upcoming visit to Egypt or when a new mission come from Egypt to do the IDs in the West coast. The time and place of such a mission haven’t been determined yet
